>Why do we have a society that more women than men are able to change their priorities? If women are paid less than men because women more commonly sacrifice career for home care, then we should promote policies that all both genders to make choice for home care. Example, there should be more parental leave, not just maternity leave.

I'm on board with this, bosh! genderwar ended. What next.

Hey in the US both parents can get leave too. Granted it is unpaid leave so it barely does any good, but it is equally shitty.

Right? Because obviously it's your right to get paid to not work. Business owners be damned.

things cost more in socialist countries. but in exchange, you spend less. so yea, you're gonna have to shell out a little more because of a higher minimum wage, taxes, etc. etc. But you get universal health care. Universal education. All the shit that drains our bank accounts the most here in America is taken care of there. It's a give and take. It's simply a different philosophy. They dont have this idea that only the rich should be able to enjoy shit like vacation time. If penny pinching is more important to you than the overrall well being of your community, then yea America is your jam. But idk not everyone feels that way. Not everyone is that selfish. Both systems have their pros and cons, one isnt intrinsically better than the other.

Wow. Then maybe you should tell your homeboy Obama to actually follow through with the maternity leave act he promised. Oh wait, he also promised not to raise taxes on the middle class. Guess that means it falls on the business owner.

if obama was a dictator then yea i'd get on that, but unfortunately we have this thing called a congress that's in charge of stuff like that. and they really aren't on board with all that. when you have a legislature that says no to literally everything you propose as a matter of principle, that makes it pretty difficult to get things that you promised on the campaign trail done.
