You're shitting me, right? This drama is spilling all over the internet, not just reddit.
The linked stuff contains mostly just discussion of these events and no drama in the comments (or at least, this was the case at the time that I removed it). I asked OP to do a self-post in order to adequately cover the drama spanning multiple subreddits and provide context. There were also several other submissions for this at various points, including one that is now on the front page. Several of those were removed for various reasons. The problem wasn't the topic, but the specific linked thread.

You can submit a self-post that highlights the material across the subreddits that you're referring to. The link you posted goes to comments that are mostly just discussion. I don't think it's reasonable to expect people to backtrack and hunt down all the stuff that's being referred to. It would work better for a multi-subreddit drama if you build a narrative around it in a self-post so people know what's going on.
