I don't know why people spread this "I can't help who I'm attracted to" shit around. That's what people say when they're too lazy to challenge their own racist beauty standards. I highly doubt that people in less diverse areas of the world live miserable lonely lives because they can't help but not feel any attraction towards 95% of their population.
The Asian men who think Asian women should feel obligated to date them are creepy as fuck. I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole unless there was some sort of a blade attached at the end of it, but you've got your own issues too.

Am I racist because I, a white guy, am not particularly attracted to black women? Now don't get me wrong, I don't think they're unattractive at all, and I would never refuse to date somebody solely because of their race. I just find white women more attractive, but I certainly don't think all (or even most) black women are ugly. No more than any other race.
But to say that you can, or even should change who you're attracted to, or you're a bad person because you have a certain preference, is fucking stupid. THAT is the epitome of lazy thinking and willful ignorance.

Nothing wrong with me actually. Judging by the downvotes, I struck a couple of nerves when I told them that they were racist. White people usually act this way when you're honest to them about their racism, no big deal.
Maybe, just maybe people are downvoting you because you're claiming they're racist when you really don't have anything to base that on. It's probably not because they're mad or can't accept what you told them, it's probably because your comments don't add to the discussion, they just feed your own ego.
You are assuming that racists look like Strom Thurmond. It's very uncomfortable for a right-thinking white person to look in the mirror and say "shit. I am actually racist about some things".
Best to be aware of it and take it into account in your everyday dealings. None of us are perfect, but we don't get better unless we face hard truths about ourselves.

The fact that there aren't very many black people where I live might have something to do with why I'm more likely to date white women. I don't know.
But if I felt our personalities were compatible, and I found her physically attractive, I would absolutely give her a chance. After that, the fact that she's black wouldn't even matter to me. Or my family (thank god.)

I am fully aware that I find fairer-skinned men of my own ethnicity far more attractive than darker-skinned ones (while I have no issues finding black men attractive). I also know I find strong accents from my native country terribly unattractive. I know this is because of cultural stereotypes and conditioning that I've lived through all my life.
I am completely frustrated by the number of people here who can't see that being immersed in media that, practically from birth, tells you a certain type of physicality is attractive is likely to make you narrow minded in your attraction to people unless you force yourself out of it. Perhaps you in your heart are not racist, but your tendencies are, people. AND ONLY YOU CAN CHANGE THAT.
