15 year olds generally aren't considered "children" in my experience.
That might depend on how old you are, I'm 26 and definitely view 15 year olds as children.
And people your parents age will say they see you as a child.
How we define age is not a sliding scale based on personal perspective.
Teenagers are called adolescents. They are minors, yes, but children, no more than all of us are children of our parents, and people in high school are well on their way to becoming adults.
I don't know about you but my parents don't see me as a child. In fact, it's been quite some time before anyone saw me as a child.
