I personally try to see everyone I meet as a clean slate without prior judgements or stereotyping because I've been wrong so many times before in my life. In my last game design class there were 20+ guys age 18-25 and 3 women, one of which was in her 30's and there for a business project or something. Most people were on reddit since it was a self paced class and the teacher was there to answer questions. A lot of the discussion was about women, and to be honest it WAS uncomfortable to be in when you had guys on both sides of you talking across the room with that stuff. There was a group laughing about the highshcool kid who stabbed people, they were pretending to run down the classroom aisle with pens the day after that stabbing in the spring. The other half of the class seemed dead silent the whole time, and it was really awkward to just walk over and try and make friends with them. I ended up just listening to music after the first month and if I finished my projects early I would just leave since it was my last class and there was no reason for me to be there.
So yeah, I do try to be a tolerant person, but I am just gonna tune those people out when they say things like that. I hope this next year will be a lot better. Community college kinda sucks for making friends :/

Porn is nice and all, but I'm really puzzled about the people who seem to think being asked to cut back or abstain is abuse. And better yet, that it's such an unalienable human right that you should lie about your consumption.

I think it's when someone wants to take another's consumption and shrink it all the way to absolute zero. That's when people have problems with it, and there definitely are some who think asking for any reduction in consumption thinks of it is the same. Granted, I would probably break it off with someone who thinks porn and masturbation is akin to infidelity (they still exist), but when someone retreats to porn even though their partner still wants sex, there's a huge problem.
Honestly, I have pretty decent self control, but it would be hard for me to give up porn if my SO asked me to. I would try, because i care about him a lot, but it would definitely be an ongoing discussion. I would never put porn before him, because that's just ridiculous, and i would dump anyone who would.
For me, it wouldn't be so much about the porn itself as it is about controlling behavior. If a porn habit is interfering with life to the point of an addiction, then sure, it's reasonable to ask that person to cut back or abstain entirely. But if the case is as it is with most men, a habit enjoyed in moderation, then that's just being controlling.

It tells me that we have very different morals and expectations for a relationship, so we'd be doomed to fail in the end.
Plus, I find it a complete turn off, so the lack of sex would eventually end the relationship even if the porn didn't.
It's a dealbreaker I developed over time (though I've never like the stuff). I've tried getting over it and ignoring it, both with disastrous results. And after dating guys who used it and neglected real sex for porn, I decided I don't have time for that. So I don't put up with it. /shrug.
Consider how many men watch porn. The exact percentage isn't important so long as we agree that it's big and likely a simple majority at the very least. Consider how different all of those men must be in light of the huge sample of the male population we're taking. We're talking about a variety of ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, occupations, upbringings, etc.
What you're saying is that the simple fact that these men watch porn, regardless of everything else about them, is enough to say that every one of them possesses morals that are objectionable to you. To put it nicely: I'm skeptical.
If you find porn watching to be a turn off, hey, that is absolutely, totally, perfectly fine and I wouldn't think to chastise you for your personal tastes. But that's just it; those are your personal tastes. The problem comes when you try to make assessments about a man's character based on specious reasoning. It's exactly like men who make assumptions about a woman's character based on how many sexual encounters she has in her past.

I'm not making any judgment on their character though. I'm saying we have different morals and expectations when it comes to a relationship. I'm sure the majority of guys that watch porn are decent, if not good, people. But we simply wouldn't mesh on a romantic level because my expectations wouldn't align with theirs.

If he really truly feels like he'll DIE or something if he can't watch porn, we'd discuss it. Actually, if he even felt like he just wanted to, he can bring it forward as a discussion. I'd probably want to know why the sudden interest in it and see if we could make our own material as a suitable substitute (if it's just visuals). If it's because he wants variety, well, that's going to be a bigger issue. Because that will affect my desire for him, to be honest.
But if it comes up in the future, we'd have an adult discussion about it and figure out a way to work around it. We've been dating long enough that I probably wouldn't end it over it (the dealbreaker status is more for <1 year timeframe), but I would be hurt, upset and it'd be a rough patch for sure.
