damn, /u/cojoco. did you really have to open that can of worms?
It's a sore point for me.
I've had various fallings-out with the mods of /r/news.
I guess I like this kind of harmless drama.
I can empathize about that. But, if you read further down the thread bipolarbear got doxxed over the removal of glenwald's piece. It's not harmless anymore sadly.
Is the doxxing info actually shown in the post or the snapshots?
If so I will remove this until they are gone.
There was doxxing info in the /r/conspiracy thread, which was removed after I reported it to the admins.
Hahahahahahahahaha assuredly just made a sticky there to remind people not to dox, and now states you can't post info about public figures (which is a complete 180 from his stance on Sandy Hook victims being "limited public figures").
Oh shit. They must've received another stern warning from the admins
Yeah that place will go down soon if they stay this bad.
I'm not so sure, I think they REALLY have to push it. When the sandyhookjustice shit was happening shortly after the BPB stuff first broke and around the time r/technology imploded, I really thought that would be it for the sub. But the ban didn't happen. If it didn't happen then, it's not going to happen now short of a SERIOUS dramawave.
I doubt they'd do it considering they didn't then. Plus there's so many users sympathetic to /r/conspiracy in defaults that admins probably would worry about the real nuts threatening them, if they aren't already.
Sorry, I worded that weird. There is no dox I saw, but I just skimmed through. I was referring to this comment.

Cojoco used to be a mod of NoLibsWatch, which has stalked, harassed, and even (literally) defamed me for years. That he of all people is calling it harmless drama is hilarious.
I don't believe the doxx is associated with my disdain for the mod team at /r/news, nor have I ever seen any evidence to support the poor reputation that NoLibsWatch has upon reddit.
Then here's some evidence for you to ignore.
Here's the results of that search for the interested:
http://www.reddit.com/r/NolibsWatch/search?q=bipolarbear*&sort=top&restrict_sr=on&t=all
literally every single post is misleading or a blatant lie.
If you took the union of NoLibsWatch, StalkerWatch, Conspiracy and Conspiratard, then yes, I think there would be a high percentage of posts which were misleading or blatant lies.
However, if you can discern a wrong or a right in any of that, then you know more than reddit will tell you.
I was referring to the sub-reddit you linked to. You know, the hate brigade that links to a guy who collects warhammer and tries to call him a little immature boy. The one that collects holocaust deniers and doxxers and protects them if they help the cause of defaming random people on reddit. The one who recently posted about me saying "Wow, that guy was less ugly than I expected" about some TRP drama where the guy posted his okcupid profile. They literally linked to that as some kind of evidence that ... neocons are ... ruining reddit?
You know, that one. The one you still lie about for some reason constantly and defend harder than Bear defends other mods rule-following.

That's nothing like the bullshit stories I was hearing.
Not sure what "bullshit stories" you were hearing, but even this is a very small fraction of the hundreds of screenshots I've compiled of NLW's actions against me.
Huh, I have my own little subreddit calling out my apparent transgressions
Perhaps they're real, perhaps they're not ... only the reader can decide.
It's part and parcel of being visible on reddit.
Does it actually bother you?
If so, why?
Does it actually bother me that I have a group of users following me around on the internet, persistently harassing me, and defaming me? What do you think?

Maybe some other people from /r/conspiratard can chime in, though I figure you may not trust them but whatever. I'm not sure which one is crackduck, but he is/was a truther and moon hoax believer. And whichever is the current identity of ghibmmm/dusty/krugmanisapuppet is the insane guy responsible for the "balancing a giant mathematical equation in my head" copypasta that floated around /r/conspiratard. Also he is, or at least was, an outspoken Holocaust denier and believes most mods and long-time users of /r/conspiratard are self-evidently "government shills". And yes I know about the beef over Rachel Corrie jokes which was tasteless. But the NLW crew responded to very obvious trolling by acting like Mossad was hunting them.
There's a bunch of stuff that doesn't matter, and the meatier argument of Holocaust denial, which I never found any evidence for.
Like whoa, man.
I don't know. I just figured you wanted to know who were hanging with and/or vouching for.
edit- Ah don't be a dick and edit your comment after I reply. Here's dusty's Holocaust meltdown thread.
I modded NoLibsWatch for a short time, and despite the mismatch in our politics, I still lean more to their point of view than I do to the inhabitants of /r/conspiratard.
edit- Ah don't be dick and edit your comment after I reply. Who is ghibmmm???
Here's the Holocaust meltdown thread I was looking for.
>I still lean more to their point of view than I do to the inhabitants of [1] /r/conspiratard.
Yeah I think we're worlds apart there.

> But, if you read further down the thread bipolarbear got doxxed ...
But you mean he was doxxed during the event, right?
I hope it was swiftly removed.
But I'm not going to hold back on reporting my discomfiture with the actions of the mods in that sub just because there are trolls on reddit.
Why are you singling out /r/news when /r/worldnews removed the Greenwald article for the same reasons?
I saw some specific actions by the /r/news mods which were obviously poor moderator behaviour.
Although the media at the time wrote about the activities in /r/worldnews, I'm not so familiar with the details of the removals there.
It's possible they deserve the same censure as the mods of /r/news, but I just don't know the details.
Provide some evidence, then.
Have you read the linked thread?
One complaint is that they allowed a shitty blogspam article in place of the original Glenn Greenwald article:
http://www.reddit.com/r/RedditCensorship/comments/1zc8o8/doyouremembertheexaminercomlinkthat_the/
Another is the paucity of Intercept articles in the sub, and yet another is them playing silly-buggers with The Intercept's profiling of Muslim Americans, which is likely one of the biggest stories of the year:
http://www.reddit.com/r/RedditCensorship/comments/2a982v/divideandconquerrnewssplitstheintercepts/
I read your second link and have literally no idea what the issue is there. That they allowed two intercept articles? Isn't that what you were just complaining about them removing?
> That they allowed two intercept articles?
Both articles were identical URLs, dividing attention to the story per submission in half, and likely reducing the total impact.

Yeah, I asked for evidence of bad moderating or abuse, not examples of stuff you don't like.
I'm surprised at your low standards.

I'll tell you what those links are: Bullshit hand waving. What you claim them to mean is so not there, that if they show what you claim... then they also prove that I killed Lincoln and Caesar.
Lincoln? You bastard!

You know why they remove the Greenwald pieces. Not liking the reasons does not mean the reasons don't exist. Greenwald writes things are as much opinion pieces as reporting. Both /r/News and /r/Worldnews don't allow opinion pieces. And they are under no obligation to include them.
Since they remove opinion pieces, then Greenwalds articles should be removed. He should be shown no special favors at all. The reason he gets pissed is because his site then loses out on Ad Revenue being made off the reddit audience. Which is a shit reason and just shows him to a money grubbing idiot and not somebody who gives a shit about truth or justice in any way, shape or form.
> Since they remove opinion pieces, then Greenwalds articles should be removed.
If you believe that obeying arbitrary rules is more important than keeping people informed.
Rules that you don't agree with aren't "arbitrary". You sound like a narcissist.
Yes, they are, because all subreddit moderation rules are arbitrary.
> You sound like a narcissist.
Well, it's lucky I only sound like one, isn't it?
Correct. The comment stayed up for 5 days apparently.
That's fair enough.
It's so sad watching two people with orange names fight!
I don't find it sad.
I find it unrealistic.
I just mean you two are both on my friends list and its sad to watch you kick up the biggest witch hunt on reddit just to get some attention to the "censorship" that totally happened (censorship via allowing two of a post to be posted, which therefore halves the page-views ... which is somehow censorship)
