Man it is really creepy how focused reddit is claiming this girl is an attention seeking whore and an actual whore.
She's the kind of girl half of reddit had a crush on who didn't give them the time of day when they were that age. Of course she must be a whore
I don't get where the actual whore comments come from. But running away (for a second time) could easily be an attention seeking thing to do. Or just an irresponsible brat thing.
Like I said, I don't get where they know her sex life. But I can understand the attention seeking comments.
i can too, but "attention seeking whore" isn't necessary first of all, and second of all we don't know the context at all. sometimes people who run away are looking for attention, and sometimes they're abused. or maybe she's just regular spoiled and wanted to have a good time without telling anyone (ie, the opposite of attention seeking). if the first thing someone thinks when they hear "missing girl" is "whore" i think it's more than fair that i classify them as having a problem with women

I don't get why you even brought it up. It's not used here or in the Toronto thread. And you're the one thinking attention whore means actual whore, that's not what the phrase is, however crass. You can think people are women haters all you want, but you're definitely making connections in your head that do not exist in reality.
A man/woman/gender-binary person can be an attention whore. It's not a women specific term. And before you talk about how horrible it is to me, don't. I don't use the term. I'm just explaining it to you.
SRD is probably referring to this first time the drama about the first girl was linked when a former groupie said she was probably just having the time of her life which elicited sexual connotations.

It's used way too often, especially on /r/SRD, when someone wants to take some negative opinion and portray it like everyone or even just the majority support it (even if a small minority of usually down-voted individuals may actually support the idea). Link all of these comments you have read calling the girl who ran away a "whore."
