I've said we already are good multiple times. England is quite a bit better and just as unsuccessful. The Netherlands is ridiculously more talented than us and just as unsuccessful. It just isn't about effort or athleticism alone.
Anyway, we aren't going to agree and are probably talking past each other at this point. I really enjoyed this. Thanks so much.

World cup final 2010.
Spain 1 - 0 Netherlands
I suppose the US also scored no goals in that game.
How does that argue against what I said? There is one winner and everyone else goes home as losers. When the Dutch invented total football and were crazy good, they yielded exactly 0 world cup victories.
People aren't saying we would just be better with more of our athletes focused on soccer. They are saying we would be better than everyone else. We are already better than most countries. We are already in the mix. Those athletes wouldn't take us to a World Cup victory or even a top ten player. That's what I'm saying.
Sorry. Didn't realise you were insane.
Sorry, didn't realize you were a troll and had nothing to add to the discussion.
Glad we cleared that up.
At some point, try to post something that goes beyond a barely recognizable point and then when someone counters you, an insult. I am sorry. Shouldn't have lashed back at you. I shouldn't have resorted to your level.
I accept your apology.
