Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the mother has Down's Syndrome but the dad only has a "slight mental handicap?" That just doesn't seem right to me in the same way that a "normal" person marrying a Down's Syndrome person wouldn't seem right to me.
Also, I'll admit that I'm in the camp that thinks they should have never been allowed to have a kid. The couple probably isn't fully self-sufficient which means that whoever is taking care of them is now also going to have to help take care of the kid. The whole situation isn't fair to the kid, the parent's, or the parent's caregivers.
Don't the parents of most Down's Syndrome people have legal guardianship of them? I think if I were in the position I'd investigate having my kid sterilized just so this sort of thing didn't happen.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to show up and argue in favour of eugenics.
To be 100% honest, if my wife/girlfriend got pregnant and we found out that the kid had any sort of birth defect I'd push for an abortion. If she didn't agree I'd have to think long and hard about being a part of the kids life.
That is not a burden I'd want to take on.
People with Down syndrome attend school, work, participate in decisions that affect them, and contribute to society in many wonderful ways.
Dude damn near everything you post is shit. I mean be honest, are you a troll or just a really horrible person?
I'm not a troll. Just stating my opinion.
So the horrible person option?
That's sort of subjective, isn't it?
I mean, I think I'm fine but I think the people who disagree with me are horrible people. Who's to say who is right or wrong?
I think saying you would sterilize your handicapped children is objectively a shit opinion.
I think it's a wise choice that would be better for everyone in the long run.
"As a person with Down Syndrome, I fully support the sterilization of mentally handicapped children"
