Drama brewing in /r/television re: Jeremy Clarkson's reported utterance of the n-word. "Clarkson is literally dragged over coals for maybe mumbling the word, but rappers can scream it 150 times in one song and then turn around and act offended when the word is repeated back to them." Then he self-censored and it never aired. Big whoop.

I still heard the word man, and the fact that it didn't air doesn't change the fact that the host has a history of being fucking racist.

It's like you guys are lacking the brain cells to rub together and figure this out. Intent matters, whether it aired doesn't.

Listen to what you're saying. If intent matters, then he is fine. He didn't intend to offend anyone, he accidentally mumbled the word when he sang the song, realised his mistake and re-recorded it.

He didn't intend to offend anyone after he intended to use a nursery rhyme that he knew was racist.

This isn't hard, he's trying to save face. This guy has said other racist shit before.

No he started singing an old song that people his age all sang as kids, realised it was racist, and then said to do a retake.

I mean this is why you make no sense, if he wanted to say the word and intended to offend people, why do a retake? He'd have just left it as is.

Again, why say it in the first place? As for the retake, we don't know if he wanted it or the production did.

He didn't even say it, he deliberately mumbled over the word so as not to offend.

He did three takes and when he reviewed them, he realised one of them slightly sounded like nigger. So he spoke to the production office, said please dont use this take, it sounds like I said nigger.

Now, as you said earlier 'intent matters'. He obviously didn't intend to offend. He actually went out of his way to ensure he didn't. Not only that, but he didn't even say nigger.

So again, as I suspected, it's another case of people desperately wanting to be offended because they have nothing much else to do in their lives.

He did say it, he mumbled over it because he knew it was fucking wrong.

I think this is a case of someone desperately wanting to defend a blatant racist, how sad.

I'm not sure what you mean here. If he mumbled over it then surely he didn't say it?

In any case, this is irrelevant. As you said, 'intent matters'. He went out of his way to make sure that take wasn't shown.

So by your own reasoning he did nothing wrong. And yet here you are, still desperately trying to find something to be offended by. I'm sorry to tell you I don't think there is anything here, but good luck on your quest, maybe try another thread

I can't believe you actually think this.

He INTENTIONALLY said the rhyme and by its implication "nigger". It is heard in the video.

After he knew he fucked up and his ass was grass, he tried to apologize.

Good god, you're fucking stupid. Have fun, tagged as "absolute retard".
