Why do people even care
It is advertised as acting out living in the Miiverse. If straight relationships are in the gay but gay ones aren't then it isn't fair to gay people who play.
Don't you think people would be upset if the only relationships allowed in say the sims were homosexual?
Hehe in the gay but
>Don't you think people would be upset if the only relationships allowed in say the sims were homosexual?
Dont like it?? Dont buy it, it really is that simple
Or complain that it you are unhappy with the product and that a simple change will get you to purchase said product. Then the company knows how they can keep fans happy and increase their sales.
If the company doesn't do the change you don't buy the product.
Constantly with videogames people say do this or change that before release and I will buy it. It is nothing new.
Then write them emails or something though, i've done that with other stuff, it works better than being upset online
Or you could be a bunch of like minded people to group together to come up with a long term implementation of correspondence, whats the word for that, starting with champagne maybe?
Are you serious? Write them emails?
Public outcry actually gets things done. Your email helps hide any issue instead of letting others know. I had no idea it wouldn't be in the game because that doesn't make any sense.
I had a problem with my phone service for about a month. Multiple phone calls, emails, and in person visits did nothing. One tweet complaining and it was fixed in a few hours.
I wanted to order pizza from a dominos about a mile away. The site said my address didn't exist so I couldn't order online and get the online deals. I called the store and emailed the company. No changes after a month I made one tweet. 2 days later I could order pizza online to my house.
Only writing them emails is as laughable as someone saying that you should send them a strongly worded letter. Sure you can do it but if that is all you are doing then you are way behind the times.
> Are you serious? Write them emails?
Google the company, look around untill you find some execs, their emails arent hard to find, email the directly.
Sooner or later someone will answer.
It's like you've never done this before
You do release these companies have people read Reddit and emails only do so much right?
If you read /r/xboxone you will see pretty often people complaining about how they have had phone calls and emails for months to fix a problem and nothing happened. Then after their Reddit post they get contacted and it is fixed almost instantly.
In /r/runescape people complain about how they have had issues sometimes for YEARS with constant emails to every department they can. Then they make a complaint post on Reddit and a few hour later everything is fixed.
You also do realize that one email wouldn't have the same force as thousands right? So even if you want to go the email approach you need to raise awareness of the issue which is EXACTLY what these people are doing.

Microsoft having a terrible costumer service?? Oh boy that is toally new and not something that has been around for years.

You're going to link something for this to work.

Do it like it happens in Shawshank Redemption, sooner or later they're going to get tired of it
Take a look at some of the times for email responses.
The comments tell users to go to twitter because emails don't do shit even after months.

Or don't like it voice an opinion....like you are doing right now.
Yeah, i dont like it and i voiced my opinion
so why do you care?
I check out basically any SRD links, isnt the point of this comment section that we talk about the things??
So were supposed to comment on things on a particular subject on particular subreddits.
Yeah but we're not allowed to use the links here, theres a reason it's .np links
got ya and those subreddit we frequent generally peak are interest and we care about said subject in different levels and ways.
Isn't it a localization of a two year old Japanese game? I don't know much about Japanese culture, but maybe homosexuality isn't as broadly accepted in Japan so Nintendo didn't see any financial incentive to include it - especially if they didn't know they were going to localize the game to the US.
Should they include gay relationships in future versions of Tomodachi Life 2 if they're going to market it to a Western Audience? Of course. I just don't think it would be profitable for them to change the game to include homosexuality at this point since the game is already written, and I'd prefer they still release the game.
Homosexuality doesn't have the same taboo as in the West
I'd actually like to read a good write up of the differences in perspective between my culture and Japanese culture.
Well then, I agree it's weird they didn't include it. Honestly, I have no clue how much effort it would take to make the change.
