How is that a facepalm? Just 'cause I'm kind of being a dick doesn't mean I'm not okay with transsexuals.

Why? Serious question. I thought it was just an abbreviation, like Jew for Jewish or Arab for Arabian or Turk for Turkish etc.
Or another word for "transmission" (cue /u/david-me).

Yeah, I was being a dick to Chel, mostly because I find her to be only marginally less annoying than Laurelai or Jessthanthree. Doesn't mean I hate transsexuals. Quite the opposite, in fact. They suffer a lot of hardship in their lives, particularly with transitioning. I feel genuinely sorry for what they have to go through to feel normal.
And you are contributing to their hardship by repeating sentiments such as "Majority privilege exists, deal with it," "Transsexuality being healthy and normal. It's not," "Yes, you're weird. Some people won't accept that. Now get over it," and "Gender being a social construct. XX and XY do real. Deal with it."
I'm not going to not acknowledge reality.
That's the problem with you social justice folks, you think we need to rewrite society to suit the equality/inclusiveness paradigm. I don't care if transsexuals want to have hormone therapy and SRS. At this point in time, it seems the only effective treatment for gender dysphoria. However, I'm not going to pretend that gender dysphoria is normal any more than I'm going to pretend that schizophrenia is normal.
I'm not going to change my beliefs just because feels.
I wish no ill will on trans* people, and I won't try to stop them from pursuing their transition, but I'm not going to lie and say that I don't find it extremely weird.
And most people aren't gonna lie and say you're not a douche.....
Are you trying to say that perhaps there is an underlying psychological issue that is better treated kwith a method other than the rigors of sex reassignment? Something that would resolve the gender dysmorphia without such harsh measures?

Not comparable at all and it's insulting to homosexuals and African Americans that you would make such a comparison.
How exactly is it not comparable? It's a slur used to put down trans* people. Just because there are less trans* people than black people or gay people doesn't mean the word is any less offensive and wrong to use. The problem is that less people are aware that it's a slur and less people consider it a slur because awareness about trans* issues is severely lacking in our society and trans* rights are currently not being talked about or supported nearly as much as they should be.
