I don't know why people insist on dragging Adventure time into the Brony discussions. Adventure Time is mostly a kids show, but it's made with older audiences in mind too. Not to mention, the main problem I have with Bronies is not that they like a cartoon; like a cartoon all you want, I'm the last person who will give you shit for that. The problem is the aggressive sexualization of the characters and how these fans demand attention and recognition for their group. I'm sure there are those fans who are into all kinds of Rule 34 shit regarding Adventure Time, but the Brony folk surpass all that by A LOT.
Every fandom has the sexuality crowd in it. Naruto, Pokemon, YuGiOh, Halo, League of Legends, Mario, EVERY POSSIBLE THING. They all have their own groups of people who are into the sexual aspect of anything ever. It's not a brony-specific thing, and bronies are far from the group whose majority is the r34 crowd.
PHINEAS AND FERB PORN IS A THING GUYS
Even (nsfw) crossovers.
The internet has everything.
Well... that's in my browser history now.
bro, mark that as NSFW D:
So it has come to this.
Also Ren and Stimpy.
Yes, but that's more NSFW than Phineas and Ferb.
True. It's like, why did they bother? :p
any yo gurl lemme take a peekachu, nahimsayin?
/r/pokeporn exists.
I know every fandom does. I hate randomly finding pokemon porn, I've been playing the games since they came to the US and it always fucks with my head a little when I see it.
It just seems like there's a lot more of it from the MLP fandom. Like I said, I don't care if they just wanna watch a show. I know there are tons of fans who hate the reputation given to them because of the fans who have to sexualize everything. I haven't seen that level of o fit from any other fandoms is all.
It seems like that because everyone freaks the fuck out over it for seriously no reason. It's like the whole furry situation. The internet was rampant with hate because we like animals, or things that look like animals, or animals that look like other things, boo hoo. Now, bronies have taken the spotlight, and getting their time to have shit thrown at them.
Do you feel the hate really died down for furries, or was it just drowned out or lumped together with bronies?
It's pretty much died down. As someone in both fandoms, I get way more hate now for being a brony.
I like to think that everyone making these sorts of arguments researches the topic thoroughly before coming to this conclusion.
It's less that I researched it and more that the information sort of...happened to me. I don't want to know what I know about Bronies.
> The problem is the aggressive sexualization of the characters and how these fans demand attention and recognition for their group.
why do you care
why does anyone care
Because I would t want my kids exposed to pedophiles.
there's probably a difference, surprisingly, between being attracted to cartoon ponies and being attracted to children
but whatever. the bronies are pedophiles.
It's 100% possible for someone to watch the show and have no interactions with the fandom whatsoever. No one is going to force your kids to talk to bronies if they watch the show.

Not necessarily true. The creator of MLP said that she tried to make the show watchable for adults from the very beginning.
Edit: She actually says that she made the show for both little girls and their parents
