Is there anything in the Bible that is considered literally true anymore? (self.DebateReligion)

It seems just about the entirety of the Bible has been pushed back into metaphorical imagery. It appears it is just a bunch of fictional literature to be used as a source of philosophy. Unless of course you are one of those "crazy" fundamentalists, right?

If that is not true, what distinguishes you from them?

Christians often knowingly lie these days saying "Most historians agree that Jesus is a real person." How can you confirm this? Just ask a Christian to give you sources. Most of the truth of the bible was based on the confirmation of Josephus. But now it is highly likely that Josephus was one of the main authors of the Bible itself on behalf of his friend Titus.

If you don't know that Josephus is the main author of the New Testament, you need to read the evidence why. Titus burned all books that his editors did not censor. Later, the library at Alexandria was burned for that very reason.
