No, he wants help with gay issues. He said exactly that in the OP. If he has issues that gay people deal with, he should go to that sub as they will help him more.
If he wants help with men's issues, then he is in the right place.
But gay men are still men, and if the Men's Rights movement is what it claims it should at least have some stance on issues that would concern gay men and hope to help them achieve equality. Especially considering so many of the issues gay men have--the way they are not seen as real men because of their sexuality, for example--directly concern men's rights.

Once again, this is a gay issue and not a men's issue. Just because there is a gay man out there doesn't mean MR has to pick up the torch. It is for equality for men and gay issues have only marginal overlap with that. Same with black men, asian men, one legged men. But they don't have to campaign for racial equality, disability equality.

His points still stand about the men's "rights" movement being hostile to homosexuality. It's not surprising to me, though. I just like to point how out awful MRAs are.
I have never heard that the MRM is hostile to homosexuality. Ever.
I am sure there are many men who are MRA's and pushing for gender equality will benefit gay men as much or more than straight men.
