>My local gun shop

Still blows my mind that people can just buy guns. A gun shop is just another shop in some places. Mental

What do you mean? I'm just saying that it's pretty weird to me that gun shops are just talked about like any other shop by some people

You said it was mental, and also made it seem like it was bonkers. I was just saying that it simply isn't that bad, and most english speaking countries do have them, even the UK and Australia.

Yes but they're much more common than in the UK and Australia. I've never even seen a gun and have definitely never seen a gun shop. It's just weird, again, to me how casually others talk about them. In all of my comments I've stated that it's my opinion. Why are you essentially telling me my thoughts on this are wrong?

I also never saw one until I was an adult. They aren't all that common everywhere in the US just like I am sure they have places in the UK and Australia where they are more common. All of you responses come off as loaded, generalized, and naive, this is why you are getting such negative attention.

All I said was that it isn't that bad. You made it seem again as if it is bad. I haven't told you your thoughts are wrong, just like I haven't downvoted you. I was simply stating that although you may think it is weird it isn't some crazy problem or stigmatizing thing to talk about a gun shop.

If anything you are the one making a big deal about things. After all OP merely mentioned that the gun store that is close to his house(a local gun store) had bollards similar shotgun shells.

I wasn't purposefully loading my comments, granted though that it is hard to tell tone over the internet and this can be a controversial subject. I wasn't even making a statement about my view on gun control and whatnot, it's just weird to me. Also I am an adult and have still never seen one and only know one person to have fired one haha

In an Anti-gun area you really have to look for them. I saw guns growing up, but I never saw a gun store until I left New Jersey. Now that I am back it appears as if gun ownership is becoming more popular around here, but I still have to go out of my way to find a gun store.

I think it's best to keep your thoughts to yourself concerning this. Nobody cares that gun shops are non-existent in other countries.

Isn't the idea of this site to share our thoughts concerning something relevant to the topic?

Higher wages, public healthcare, more civil liberties and absolutely no concern of ever being shot. Its pretty good where I live :)
