I feel like Pope Twilight I wouldn't stand for molesting children, trampling on science, and fighting against the rights of women and the LGBT crowd.

How many Catholics do you think looked at your post and concluded, "you know, this guy has a point!" Answer: approximately zero Catholics. I'm a card-carrying 'angry' atheist and even I'm embarrassed that we share the same ideology. There's a time and a place and a subreddit right next door where you can circlejerk to your little heart's content.

As for the Catholic bronies, I disagree with you guys but I love you anyway.

-edit- oops, confused you with jben. Well, either way, my point remains the same.

I'm not surprised we have this, though. I think (remembering here) that atheists have a 60% majority in this fandom-then Protestants then the rest, witch is pretty small.

Either way, you gotta swat out that /r/atheism whenever you see it leaking into other subreddits. Or else the place becomes flooded with euphoric professional quotemakers.

It's a reference to a thing. I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm all for criticism where criticism is due, but I think you ought to be accurate with it at the very least.

The Pope in our real, boring world doesn't "stand for" these things either!

The previous Pope was implicated in the coverup of child molestation, opposed abortion and birth control, actively fought same-sex marriage and parental rights, and claimed that condoms spread AIDS.

Id like to see a citation on the accusation of sex abuse coverups. http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/pope-benedict-legacy-handling-sex-abuse-crisis-new-evangelization-article-1.1275338 Opposing abortion is opposing murder- a good thing. Same sex marriage is a fallacy. Again need citations.

Honest question from a far-left brony: How the buck do you get around, man? The Love and Tolerance can't help you much, much less nearly every pairing being a homosexual one?

I've asked myself the same question. Honestly I never really embraced the whole Love and Tolerance thing, it is so abused a phrase, I prefer "Love thy neighbor." There is some things I just can't love or tolerate, I mean we are just human. As for the homo pairings, I really don't come into a lot contact with them, I really am in it for the show, not much else I occasionally look at the art and videos, never really fan fiction, so I get around okay.

Skeletons ins Benedict's closet Foreign Policy magazine article.

Abortion is not murder. If it is, then god is the greatest mass murderer in history based on that alone, as 2/3 of fertilizations end in spontaneous abortion.

Same sex marriage is equal rights for same-sex couples. There's nothing fallacious about equal rights.

All of the cases in that article are alleged or may have incidents, probably fed from a political rival.

Artificial abortion most certainly is murder, it is the intentional killing of a human being.

Marriage is the union of a man and a woman in the Holy Spirit. There are no rights that are being denied.

Alleged my ass. He knew what he was doing. He knowingly protected pedophile priests. And if he didn't know, he was criminally negligent. Any other organization would have been forced to take extreme measures to combat this issue, but because the Catholic Church claims authority from its invisible friends, it gets a free pass.

A fetus is not a person. A lump of homo sapiens tissue is no different than a fruit fly, morally speaking. What we care about are sapient people. Species irrelevant. And a fetus is not a person. It's a lump of parasitical organs.

If you think that's what marriage is, good for you. That's fine. But you must acknowledge that that is not what marriage is legally. Legally, marriage is an arrangement between the state and two people. Denying it to certain people is discrimination. And I won't let you force the government to discriminate on the basis of your belief in a magic man living in the sky. We have separation of church and state, after all.

I love how you want others to tolerate gays and the such, but won't follow your own code toward other people's beliefs lol

Oh, and it appears this new pope was involved in aiding the military junta which ruled Argentina at the time in disappearing people.
