Of the first 10 commenters to this thread, how many come directly from SRD IRC chat?
Is IRC popular around these parts? I've been on reddit for like a year and never tried it.
There is a hard core SRD group of users that hang our in the IRC chat room (listed at the top of /r/Subredditdrama. There is a bot that automatically posts new submissions. They buddy up and get their comments in nice and early for maximum karma potential. Although they'd never admit to it, they like to think of themselves as a powerful elite, with the ability to whip up drama and i've noticed they end up influencing the flow of discussion in these comment sections by feeding off each other.
Look, you may be new here, but SRD/new is where many top minds collaborate, and routinely outsmart the most well funded, well equipped and diabolical organizations on earth. How do we do it? Top thinkers, experts on every field, unparalleled investigative skills and fearlessness. I would trust a top comment here over pretty much any news source, especially a mainstream source, any day.
Top. Men.
Lol. they're just first to comment. this isn't a giant plot. drama has a similar alert bot. helps people catch spam, dox, or off topic stuff much more quickly too.

I use Reddit Notifier. A little box pops up on screen whenever I get a new message or new posts are submitted to the subs I specify.

Ditto. I've had people wonders how I spend so much time on Reddit. But 99% of the time it's basically like replying to IMs. I'll comment on a few threads when I have downtime, and the rest of my comments are just replies.
Whats the payout on over and under
