I am a half-Finnish American and my mother remembers when she was a child here in the US that there was a "call to help the Fatherland" during Talvisota and Jatkosota where they recruited the descendants of Finns to fight Russia.

I was a medic and a cop and I know how to use many firearms from AK-47s/74s to M-4s to G-3s to SAKO bolt actions. I have my heirloom puukko to bring with me.

If ~~Russia~~ Putin is insane enough to attack you or Estonia, I offer my life in aid in whatever role you offer me.

Edit: thanks for the downvotes. Willing to help you and not America, still. Finland has never been my home but your nation is better than mine and I'll still think of you as one worth defending. Piru vieköön.

The massive boner you have for Finland is amusing to Finns, I think, because you express it in such an American way.

Rk 62:

>

>The Rk 62 (also 7.62 RK 62 and M62; Rynnäkkökivääri 62 or "assault rifle 62") is an assault rifle manufactured by Valmet and Sako. It is the standard issue infantry weapon of the Finnish Defence Forces.

>The Rk 62 was designed in 1962 and is based on the Soviet AK-47 Polish licensed version design. The Rk 62 uses the same 7.62x39mm cartridge as the AK-47. Between 1965 and 1994 350,000 M62 rifles were produced jointly by Valmet and Sako.

>The Rk 62 has a three-pronged flash suppressor, and a groove for a specially designed knife bayonet, which can be used alone as a combat knife. The Rk 95 Tp is a more modern, improved version of the Rk 62. One of the most distinctive features of the Valmet rifles, including the M62 and all subsequent variations, is the open-ended, three prong flash suppressor with a bayonet lug on its lower side. In addition to the flash suppression, the end can quickly cut barbed wire by pushing the muzzle onto a strand of wire and firing a round - noisy but effective.

No, seriously you have no concept of how hard Americans take our heritage and you tried to call me out on it. Fine, the real Finns can downvote me all they want, but you implied I don't know what I am talking about when it comes to guns and medicine and I am very capable at both so "ja vitut."

I think people downvoted because any sort of "grab your skies and molotov cocktails in defense of the Fatherland" rhetoric is usually considered in bad taste. There is a difference between soberly considering our national security threats, and proud nationalistic war hyping. I'm not saying that your post specifically comes from a bad place, just that there is room to interpret it like that.

I'm a Finn and i think it's great that you're willing to defend Finland if a war breaks out. I think we have more than a fair share of ultra-liberal worldcitizens here that are not so willing to do that. The chances that Russia will attack Finland are small, but to say that it's not possible is just naive.

Why the fuck would Russia invade Finland. Nobody is taking you seriously because you're talking nonsense.

If you can't see the difference between; the secession of an autonomous state following the violent overthrow of a democratically elected government and the invasion of a NATO aligned state, you're fucking loopy.
