Why are there so many weird people on the porn subreddits. Some of my favorite SRD's are from gonewild and and such.
More to the point, why are people slut shaming on a Reddit they are on in the first place to ogle strangers tits? It's utterly ridiculous.
Perhaps because it has universal appeal? Sort of like the same reason you always meet strange people at the airport or a Greyhound terminal.
We keep trying to type a good comment, but then our slutty wives burst in and start making fun of our insignificant cocklet. She makes us give up the credit card and tells us she needs to buy some more magnums for her black boyfriend Tyrone. You try posting cogently knowing your beloved mates puss is getting stretched further than ever before, hitting erogenous spots she didn't r even know she had. When you're going on day 13 of not being released from your chastity cage you start to get a bit unhinged =[
ahh, an /r/cuckold user perhaps?
Ugggghh.... Ah..
Thanks for that little anecdote.

No, I have seen the posts. I won't go there. It's too desperate.
I went there, and now i feel bad.
Well, I'll agree she doesn't look like a respectable woman.
But he's in a subreddit for those types of women. If no sluts posted to that subreddit, there wouldn't be a subreddit. The guy's an idiot.
Eh, no, that subreddit isn't focused on "sluts". To be honest, that woman shouldn't have been posted in the subreddit, because she was actually going for a "sexy" raver outfit.
It's more like post pictures of women in tight clothing.

Calling people out for "slutshaming" is a cop out, in my opinion. 99% of men AND women are thinking the same thing when they look at the girl in the picture. And they probably thing "douche" when they look at the guy. First impressions are not for nothing. They're the cornerstone of our personal judgement system
The problem is on Reddit you can't go against the hivemind. And it's cool to be a "feminist". Unfortunately, most people have no clue what feminism is. It's about gender equality. It's not about putting women on a pedestal and exempting them from all the norms that apply to men too.
Fire away with the downvotes, you're entitled to it. Just like I'm entitled to my own opinions
> 99% of men AND women are thinking the same thing when they look at the girl in the picture.
"Why does he have X's drawn all over him" or "I wonder how many years until her spine folds like a drinking straw"?
>Calling people out for "slutshaming" is a cop out, in my opinion. 99% of men AND women are thinking the same thing when they look at the girl in the picture.
Not me. As a pregnant, married woman I was simply filled with burning jealousy that I'm never gonna look like that.
She has an amazing body, and if I was her I'd never get dressed.
why should it matter how much sex she has and with who though
I mean why should slut be a bad thing to be
Then reclaim it, don't make the word taboo. Don't demonize people who use the word. All this tiptoeing around words and issues muffles and kills honest debate.
Personnally, I have nothing against sluts. They provide valuable community service.
Words can't be "reclaimed" so easily, otherwise we would have no drama links here about "he said the N word!" etc.
I get what you're saying, but I don't see a reality where people stop using "slut" in a sexist double-standard.
People generally pick their words carefully in debates anyway. I can't see a genuine honest debate involving one opponent calling the other a slut/douche.
Plus you can't just reclaim a word. You can certainly appropriate a word but that doesn't alter the original meaning, it just adds an additional meaning. Even then it needs to make it into popular vernacular under its new meaning and persist there. Even then theres no guarantee the new meaning will take. Just look at the n-word, it hasn't lost it's racial connotations, its just picked up a new meaning for certain contexts.
> I can't see a genuine honest debate involving one opponent calling the other a slut/douche.
No one here did that. The issue is with the word itself. Insults directed at debate partners are another thing entirely.
>Plus you can't just reclaim a word. You can certainly appropriate a word but that doesn't alter the original meaning, it just adds an additional meaning.
Not necessarily. In this case for instance the meaning stays the same (promiscuous woman), only the perception changes (good thing/bad thing). Like "gays". The meaning stayed the same (homosexual), but homosexuals decided it wasn't a bad thing to be (they were right). Then people started agreeing with them, and now it's routinely used without negative connotations.
I don't think it's universally acceptable to refer to people as "gays" at this point... gay people yes, but not the "gays." That's like saying "the blacks."
I just dont see how honest debate is being "muffled and killed" Which debates, how are they being muffled and by whom?
Also, with regards to the word gay, it became a pejorative after it was used to mean homosexual. This happened recently. The homosexual community didnt "decide" it wasnt a bad thing to be, rather other people appropriated the term to be an insult when "gay" wasnt an insult before. So the upshot is that it's more accurate to say "now it's routinely used with negative connotations".
You can't just change a word by all collectively deciding that it means something else, nor can you do so as an individual. When attitudes change towards promiscuity, then the word might fade into obscurity when it no longer becomes an effective pejorative.
>Which debates, how are they being muffled and by whom?
Mostly the SJ debates,
>how are they being muffled
Not using certain words out of politeness (like slut) comes with a cost of honesty and directness. It increases the distance between what people think and what they say, and therefore hurts communication.
And by forcing doublespeak and the use of a long and ever-changing list of euphemisms and PC terms, which everyone is supposed to keep up with under threat of being labeled a bad person. The discussions about proper terminology becomes more important than discussing the underlying issues. Very postmodern: all form and no substance.
>by whom?
Originally SJ warriors, but it has now reached anyone who is remotely liberal-minded.
>Also, with regards to the word gay, it became a pejorative after it was used to mean homosexual.
Yeah, but I'm only referring to its use for referring to homosexuals here. Before, there was nothing to reclaim since it just meant jolly. "gay" was originally used to refer to homosexuals in a time where being a homosexual was a bad thing in itself, an illness, a threat to society, so it came with negative connotations. Now it's widely used by homosexuals themselves.
> When attitudes change towards promiscuity, then the word might fade into obscurity when it no longer becomes an effective pejorative.
If the true cause are negative attitudes towards female promiscuity (I agree), why are you waging war on the word? Why not defend promiscuity itself, instead of this pointless language policing?
Check the username. Religion, as always.
I doon't get what's related to religion...
Punjab just indicates India or Pakistan, it doesn't really indicate much about religion. The issues Indians have with women primarily come from culture and history, not religion.
Well, religion is culture. But yes.
Yes, but not all culture is religion. Dogs and cats have four legs but a dog is not a cat.
The point is, if he is on the Indian side of the border at least, their issues with women don't stem particularly from Hinduism or Sikhism, they stem from cultural issues that are separate from and not rooted in the religions. Pakistani side is more debatable certainly.
Same way as you can blame excess materialism, the obesity epidemic, celebrity obsession, or distaste for universal healthcare on American culture but none of that comes from "Christianity".
> 99% of men AND women are thinking the same thing when they look at the girl in the picture.
"She's cute, but I wish she would find a top that fits. Her tits just look uncomfortable in that. Pity."
Just me?
My little sister is super busty. It took me years to get her into properly fitting bras and swim suit tops. I wish teenagehood didn't scare girls out of wearing properly fitted bras due to fears of a D cup being fake, stereotypical porn star large. You just look and feel better in the right size.
Mmm... Tell us more! Did she ever struggle to fit into something too small for her, and you had to help fit her back in? Were there ever wardrobe malfunctions? Did she ever need help spreading suntan oil on hard to reach spots? Don't spare any detail, I an really intrigued by this story
You didn't circlejerk hard enough, so people think you are real.
>"She's cute, but I wish she would find a top that fits. Her tits just look uncomfortable in that. Pity."
>Just me?
Me too
For me it was half that, and half "...is the red side bigger?"
> 99% of men AND women are thinking the same thing when they look at the girl in the picture.
Even if that's true, how does it make it acceptable?
>It's not about putting women on a pedestal and exempting them from all the norms that apply to men too.
But you said that people are thinking "douche" in relation to the guy, and "slut" in relation to the girl. That's not applying the same judgment to both.
Not that we should be calling guys sluts, either, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this logic.
> Not that we should be calling guys sluts, either
Sadly, it's not on line, but if you ever come across a copy of WEIRDO #6 or a collection of Norman Dog's comix, check out "Space Sluts." Riff on the topic from 30+ years ago.
So you think people shouldn't douche-shame, or that people should slut-shame?
Ideally no one would make unfounded assumptions about anyone, but you can't deny there's a difference in the severity of the labels.
Not significantly enough, no. Seems like both terms are labels most people lass right over pretty quickly.
There's a very significant difference. The two terms don't imply anywhere near the same thing. You're comparing slut to asshole right now.
Are you saying that your opinion speaks for 99% of men and women?
> 99% of men AND women are thinking the same thing when they look at the girl in the picture
Not me, I was concentrating more on... ah... something else...
> And it's cool to be a "feminist"
On Reddit? You are fucking delusional.
> And they probably thing "douche" when they look at the guy
Why? He seemed like a nice guy. Had a friendly smile
it's called slut-shaming shaming
bam!
