I had to show this private conversation to Kurtis and Charlie prior to the event because we were 11 days out and we were in 'red alert' mode. At that point privacy went out the window and player + event concerns became the priority. That was the WORST week of my career trying to salvage MLG Columbus with Speed + Dignitas messes to mop up. So much went on behind the scenes....

Marco, if you're reading this..... You earn respect by acting like how Adam and Charlie did.... Not demanding it

Marco needs lessons in common sense or correct brain usage before he can learn about respect.

You did the right thing man, privacy or not you had to see who is who since you didn't know if that guy was really trustworthy.

Imagine if you had listened to this fraud, we would have missed the best team of the tournament and the storyline they created with their games!

I think it's likely that you are single-handedly responsible for changing a lot of PC gamers' minds about the MLG organization in a positive way.

Dude, it ended up being a crazy event and I can't thank you and everyone else enough for putting on such a great event. I had absolutely no voice left when I got home Monday because of how nuts I was going watching "Speed Gaming" the entire weekend. You made the right choice and I think that much was made clear by them WINNING. So, fuck that guy. Charlie was such a standup guy at the event and those guys couldn't have asked for anyone more down to earth to stand behind them during the event. His roar after they beat team DK the first time to get into the semi-finals was fucking awesome. Props to all of you. Cheers, dude.

There is no shame in making these things public. That person is one of the shadiest human beings i ever know with some of the most shadiest actions i ever witnessed. There is NO ROOM for these kind of guys in esports. Those are the people who are destructive and should be banned from any dota2 competition in the near future.

Absolutely disgusting

nobodies pointing fingers here man,you just provided help for the players to clear things out,it's also clear that you had no motivation of stirring up more internal trouble and you were just trying to help the players sort their already fucked up management,BTW great job on MLG it was one of the most well managed events in a long time :)

Only a ~~Mark~~ fool wouldn't realize that you and MLG gave the event your absolute best, and it showed. It was literally the happiest I've been with a ticket purchase; I can't be alone in thinking this

Sorry things got weird behind the scenes, hope you have an awesome holiday to relax some :)

Honestly, all this drama just adds to how amazing it was that Speed actually overcame so much to win this tournament. Feels like some people went out of their way to make MLG as hard as possible.

And you handled it with finess and class. For the fans everything appeared real smooth (even getting Sigma as backup). Thank you, good to know that a community with a history of dirty douchbags now has someone like you.

Well that turned out better than you expected, I bet! Thanks to all of you for keeping it together despite drama.

I'll forever remember MLG Columbus semifinals as a "established" bracket and the "almost didn't make it to the venue" bracket seeding into the finals.

Just to add to the mass of replies to this:

Thanks so much for working it out with Speed Gaming. MLG Columbus had easily top 5, possibly the best, finals series I have ever seen and I've been in the DotA scene for 8+ years. You guys handled everything amazingly and it truly felt from an outsider perspective that everything was smooth.

I will be buying tickets for upcoming MLG DotA events and will also continue watching them on stream.

Keep up the good work!
