>Developing actual skills/talents pays off in the long run.

Like dealing with assholes isn't a skill-- it's just a skill that is extremely undervalued.

These silver spooned scumbags wouldn't know hard work if it hit them upside the head.

The dude claiming that flight attendant job is easy, I am going out of my way assume he has ever had a job dealing with public.

I was once on a flight with Wayne night's brother, who is a flight attendant. A big man, we hit turbulence. He hit the roof, and then the floor of the plane.

Just witnessing that, I can assure you, being a flight attendant is not an easy job. Plus, he looks just like Newman, so it ain't an easy job.

I don't even want to imagine the perpetual jet lag one would develop in the occupation...

>going out of my way assume

I think you meant "going to go ahead and assume". The assumption isn't exactly out there.

I'm just trying to understand the white knighting of airplane waiters.

He's defending flight attendants in the hope they'll sleep with him? I don't think you're using the term right. Not all flight attendants are women, you know. Or is it just used as a catch all term for people that disagree with certain opinions now?

As I understood the term it was defending another persons position without their approval and/or consent so as to defend ones honor so to speak. Gender has nothing to do with it.

Apparently some people genuinely believe the job of "flight attendant" to be hard; TIL.

The pilot says your plane is crashing on the slopes of a remote mountain. What do you do?

It can be difficult when they have to deal with perpetually cantankerous and unpleasant people such as yourself on a daily basis.

You might as well say "I need to feel superior to other people for their job because I feel inferior for so many other reasons."
