Wow, I'm shocked that a majority of the people in the sub seem to be okay with misandry. They get angry if men stereotype or make fun of girl gamers but it's okay if they do the same to men? Some SRS members have to be apart of the sub. There is also a bit of bonus MRA drama in the thread.
Edit: Ugh, White Knights have infiltrated the sub
>Eh, I'm a guy who hangs around here to keep my privileged self in check.
Misandry isn't real, omg what is happening in SRD today.
it's as real as the misogyny you see everywhere, think on that one
Misogyny is backed by a power structure constructed specifically to restrict and oppress female expression and freedom.
Misandry doesn't posses this quality, therefore it doesn't real. Cishet.
I'm calling Poe on this one.

I am a man.
internalised misandry, i see
What is that?
like white guilt but for gender
White guilt?
You are mistaking institutional misogyny/misandry with vanilla misogny/misandry.
Its okay words are hard.
"That bitch is a slut." - misogyny
"That virgin neckbears." - misandry
Why deny that it exists? It seems like most feminists acknowledge that the patriarchy harms men and women, so wouldn't it make sense that the negative impact for men would be called misandry?
Bitch and slut are backed by a history of male violence, virgin and neckbeard are not.
I'll never understand why you'd require violence as part of the definition. It seems to be defined everywhere as the hatred of women. When did you guys pick up the violence requirement?
Hatred of women that has been ingrained in society by the violence of men.
It's really not difficult if you know how to critically think.
My question is, when did you add the violence part? I can't find any real sources that require a history of violence in the definition.
Please be to reading.
That's a whole pile of links that don't seem to address my specific question. Can you point to a source that talks about why a history of violence is required in misogyny?
You must read all to understand.
