Highlights in Bold
Last week, a Uni student was forcefully arrested by Ticket Inspectors over a $2 fare.
Just to explain, for context, they can only use "reasonable force" to detain someone.
The student commented here giving his account of events and asking for advice on what to do. Many people questioned his version of events, and arguments started on the use of reasonable force. OP is accused of exaggerating his injuries and is downvoted when he responds.
Some comments resulting in arguments included
A followup thread from the student reminding people to tag on.
>You seriously want your taxes going to this fucking drama queen? Fuck me people like you are stupid.
Other threads where arguments have occured.
and here
> Yeah he fare evaded but does he deserve to be assaulted over $2.20? Herald Sun readers think so![1] > > I dont hold back these days when i find out someone is an avid herald sun reader, in fact i stop myself short on calling them out as a moron.
And for dessert.
EDIT: for clarification "tag on" is referring to the RFID ticket system (similar to Oyster in the UK).

I fail to see how anybody can justify it. It's a ridiculous notion.
>I fail to see how anybody can justify it.
If you don't pay, then you don't play.
Freeloaders don't deserve sympathy.
Do you pirate media?
Yes, but i didn't use public library computer to do so.
This is the weirdest argument I've ever seen for justifying piracy.
It's just an argument for getting caught. Lots of people justify petty crimes with "but I'm smart enough not to get caught".
I don't bury my dead hookers on public property, so it's cool
Then you deserve to be choked
If i did that in public library and got caught then yes.
