Anarchism is primarily leftist.
Most strains of anarchism are absolutely leftist. Anti-hierarchical belief is the most defining trait of leftism, and many anarchist schools take exactly that to its logical extreme.
Anarchy and libertarianism are most definitely not leftist. Leftists are never accused of wanting less government.
The chief goal of the left is not more government, but less social and economic hierarchy. The way that they wish to reduce or get rid of hierarchy takes many different forms.
For social democrats it may, like you say, include government intervention. For anarchists, the state is the primary apparatus through which hierarchy is enforced, so they feel the need to scrap it wholesale.
Anarchism is egalitarian and libertarianism promotes market hierarchy. They are only similar in that they reject a centralized power structure.
