So Twitch user Destiny sent out this tweet.FOr those that don't know, bird jesus is basically the only real pokemon of use in the TwitchPlaysPokemon game, and Destiny wants to enstate democracy and have his henchmen release the pokemon. The NORAD offices at twitchplayspokemon found out almost immediately, and the red phone to ~~the president~~ the butthurt kids at the subbredit was immediately dialed. Here are just some o the posts currently gracing their new page.
Destiny is trying to release Bird Jesus with democracy spamming!
[ATTENTION: This streamer is utilizing his power to DESTROY Bird Jesus!] (http://np.reddit.com/r/twitchplayspokemon/comments/1yopgk/attentionthisstreamerisutilizinghispower_to/)
Steven "Destiny" Bonnell, a SC2 streamer, IS TRYING TO RELEASE BIRD JESUS AND DOOM US!
Meanwhile, ~~the president~~ absolutely nobody retaliates by firing the entire nuclear arsenal of rage that this subreddit is capable of. Turns out you can report people for "raiding" twitch streams. Everyone's out to get him. Here come the full salvo.
My response to Destiny's attemp to screw everyone's fun.
For the love of all, Report Destiny for Harrassment. Channel Raiding IS REPORTABLE.
Report Destiny and stop his stupid ploy to kill bird jesus.
It's still going on, and Destiny is getting close to the PC, where bird jesus can be released. It's pretty hilarious since he's reading all the reddit mail he's getting, and it's flaming fedora level anger. Destiny is getting threats on his daughter's life(hint: he has a son).
NEW UPDATE: SEVERAL TWITCH STREAMERS THROW THEIR HATS IN THE RING:
Streamer ROOT CatZ says he is the same as a DDOSer
ROOT Minigun also rallies the troops to fight against Destiny
More anger in TPP:
Har Har destiny is a fedorabeard
Can we please give no recognition to this wannabe?
THE DRAMA SPILLS INTO DESTINY'S SUBREDDIT, /r/Destiny , AS TPPers RAID IN!
This thread has 70 points, half the comments have negative score.

It's literally a social experiment, you realize the entire purpose of said experiment is defeated when you start telling people how to act, right..? Besides, you'd be insanely naive to say I'm the first who's done this; I'm just the first who's done it openly. Plenty of people have been botting, and there are entire communities (reddit, 4chan) who are encouraging people to vote certain ways etc...which is really not so different.

I'm okay with being an asshole. :)
I think the relevant difference here is that those factions have come from groups already invested in Twitch Plays Pokemon. Your viewers didn't seem too invested until you got them thinking about and involved in your troll scheme.
>you realize the entire purpose of said experiment is defeated when you start telling people how to act, right..?
Heh
Yeah bro, you totally took that out of context and defeated me, bro.
Destiny's literally hitler for using his 2k viewers to spam your channel.
Oh, but the main subreddit with 70k subs + all of 4chan, that's way different, dawg. Go anarky1111 loell1111

my flanks are in outer space, bro
It might be time to go to sleep Steven
Dude, as much as I liked the vid of you and the mfc cam girl, I gotta say you seem to be drumming up drama for your own benefit.
You are not the first to do it openly, but you are the first to openly monetise hoping on the bandwagon. TPP is about shits and giggles, but you seem to be the only one trying to cash a paycheck out of all this.
So, let me ask this of you, the warden of puds. Would you be willing to donate the ad revenue you recieved for stiring this shitpot to the streamer of TPP so that it can continue and possibly expand?
>You are not the first to do it openly, but you are the first to openly monetise hoping on the bandwagon. TPP is about shits and giggles, but you seem to be the only one trying to cash a paycheck out of all this.
There's no website hosting pictures of said content with advertisements next to them? This subreddit doesn't generate ad revenue for reddit? The radio guy I talked to tonight doesn't have 3-4 ad modules on the radio webpage? Twitch makes nothing off of the ad revenue in the pre-rolls? The articles/news stories/etc...that have been written don't all generate page hits for ad revenue/SEO relevance for said sites? Come on, dude, even you know this isn't true.
>So, let me ask this of you, the warden of puds. Would you be willing to donate the ad revenue you recieved for stiring this shitpot to the streamer of TPP so that it can continue and possibly expand?
Are you fucking retarded? Why the fuck would I donate any money I make on content that I generate to some other party?
>This subreddit doesn't generate ad revenue for reddit?
No, not really. SRD is a meta-hub of what's going on within reddit. No one pays to run ads targeted here.
>There's no website hosting pictures of said content with advertisements next to them?
If you mean imgur, how do you compare to them exactly? They host millions upon millions of pics for free, which are easily shown ad free through their api in RES. I fail to see how you compare in an order of magnitude to them. It's like trying to compare a comment to the recipient youtube video.
>Why the fuck would I donate any money I make on content that I generate to some other party?
Because, the revenue you recieved is from restreaming another twitch user's feed. It should go to him. You violated Twitch's ToS for that cash after all.
>No, not really. SRD is a meta-hub of what's going on within reddit. No one pays to run ads targeted here.
There's an ad on the side of this subreddit. Pretty sure reddit makes money off of those ads.
>I fail to see how you compare in an order of magnitude to them. It's like trying to compare a comment to the recipient youtube video.
I'm saying that there are plenty of others making money off of this. Not just me, and I didn't even make much, sheesh.
>Because, the revenue you recieved is from restreaming another twitch user's feed. It should go to him. You violated Twitch's ToS for that cash after all.
No? You think if any random person were to just throw up a restream of that feed, they'd get 5,000 viewers? I got a large number of viewers due to the content I was providing on top of that stream. It could have been on my other monitor and it would have received more or less the same attention.
> No? You think if any random person were to just throw up a restream of that feed, they'd get 5,000 viewers? I got a large number of viewers due to the content I was providing on top of that stream.
The TPP stream has ~25,000,000 views in 10 days vs your entire career of ~50,000,000 views. You really mean to say you contributed to the streams overall success and not piggy backed running ads restreaming it?
How does this even relate to Destiny actually helping the stream? Why should he be contributing to anyone's success? Should people that are re-streaming and talking about the Winter Olympics pay Sochi for "piggy backing" on their content?
> you realize the entire purpose of said experiment is defeated when you start telling people how to act
You told your followers to act in a specific way when you told them to kill Bird Jesus so you are kinda contradicting yourself there.
By "you" I pretty clearly mean "the rules of the game"...as soon as the rules of the game are dictating how people can act, it ruins the entire enjoyment of the randomness/chaos because it's not longer random/chaos.
Right now, the ONLY, the absolute ONLY rule of the game is "input commands into the chat channel". There is absolutely NO external guidance of said commands, that's the enjoyment of it. As soon as you start telling people how they can/cannot act, it because utterly pointless.
It doesn't seem at all clear to me. In fact it seems like "you" referred to the person you were replying to.
Ok.
Isn't the interaction around how people decide what commands to enter just as much part of the experiment? You just happened to be the first prominent figure to try and fuck with the game, maybe you are starting to think like an eve player.
> It's literally a social experiment
No, it's literally twitch plays pokemon.
Come on kid, you sound like the idiots in /r/anarchism who believe that bullshit.
It's not a social experiment, it's someone who has more viewers than you and you're just upset.
