Honestly from a geopolitical stand-point, the arrival and adoption of crypto-currencies is a checkmate.

Considering some of the main actors in the bitcoin game are criminals or borderline criminals, cough cough karpelles, I'm not sure that's a world I want to live in.

I've quotes one of my main issues with bitcoin from another post below. Feel free to answer my concerns as I feel them legitimate.

> One of the common selling points for bitcoin I hear is that it's free from government regulation and interference and you are free to be your own bank etc and I'm saying we now created a market that's in fact MORE interfeered with and controlled in private than the model it's attempting to replace.

> This therefore makes it less open to the common man than the govnerment regulated markets we have in place right now.

> I mean why would I want to keep my money in the bank regulated by Mark karpelles and whoever else feels like controlling it?

Act only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law without contradiction.

You assume wealth leads to immoral actions.

There are some recent studies that find correlation between wealth and unethical behaviour.

See for example:

Sometimes it does although that is irelevant. It doesn't make me anti-wealth.

The Golden Rule is Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

You made a claim without providing an argument for why it's true. That's why you were downvoted. It's like saying:

Congratulations then on creating the least manipulated and insider trading prone marketplace of them all.

> You made a claim we don't like without providing an argument for why it's true.

That's more like it. Otherwise, this sub usually has no problem with unsubstantiated claims, hearsay and hyperbole.

I'm sure you also seent the attempts to pump the MtGox price just before the press announcements in the past days too.

I hope your entire argument isn't resting on anecdotal evidence.

>I hope your entire argument isn't resting on anecdotal evidence.

I hope your entire arguement against me isn't going to consist of that quote as you kow pure well when there is no regulation there is no way to prove someone is breaking rules that don't exist.

If you want me to point you toward alt coin pump and dumps which have been orchastrated in plain light I can but I hope you have enough sense to know that this goes on.

If that's not enough for you I trade as part of a group who usually agree to buy at the same time/price in order to move the market more than we should, so yes, I am proof of insider trading

still only anecdotal evidence.

Keep sticking your head in the sand if you want I've provided more substance and logic then you can possibly provide against my arguement. I will never PROVE it since technically it cant exist because free market, blah blah blah

BUT if you feel like taking your head out of your ideologically perfect ass you will find the ability to manipulate crypto markets is the reason people are drawn to them, Just look at what wolong did to doge and if you need proof you can go ask him about it or check his post history

http://www.reddit.com/user/wolong- https://twitter.com/GameOfDeception

If thats not enough for you the guy wrote a freaking BOOK about how to manipulate crypto markets for feck sake. I'll even be good enough to link it to you for free via pastebin as I think you have some learning to do if you ever want to get ahead in crypto markets ;)

Anecdotal.. This is not sticking my head in the stand, it's me acknowledging the basis of providing support for an argument. Anecdotes don't do that.
