I really wish the term "white pride" wasn't hijacked by racists.
Why would you be proud of being white? It's not like you chose it, it was an accident of birth. That's like being proud of your hair color.
Like gay pride, black pride, ginger pride (that is actually a thing)?

Both homosexuals and Black people were heavily shamed upon by American society. Their "pride" is simply a reaction to the shaming. A chance to create a sense of identity and community, if you will.
White pride has rather a different history to it. At least from my western centric perspective.
In conclusion, gay pride and black pride don't necessarily mean "be proud because you were born gay/Black. Rather, "don't be ashamed of your race or sexuality".

Being proud of your Italian/German/Dutch/Irish/American/etc. cultural background is perfectly fine. It's being proud of your skin colour that's the problem.

And Yes I think it's bullshit when any colour or race does it mostly because it acts as a convenient smokescreen to hide a bit of good old fashioned xenophobia.
I don't know any "colour or race" that takes pride in their skin colour the way white supremacists groups do.
Black pride group in manchester ranting about asians; That was the last racial pride group I met in person and they were racist pricks.
Edit: I'm not saying white pride groups aren't a problem- I'm saying all racial pride groups are inherently racist constructs at this stage.
None of those black pride groups have the numbers or influence groups like Stormfront and the EDL have.

You don't see organized racist groups in the scale of something like Stormfront for other racial groups.
Being serious I think the same groups exist but commonly identify along racial-religious lines rather than simply racial.

While I definitely don't think anybody should be ashamed of their race I'm not sure what there is to be proud about.
Being born into a particular family is rarely a consequence of effort and dedication.
"white" is purely a socially constructed race and has no basis in biology, hth
