Insults over virginity and the promiscuity of their mothers size fly over in /r/MensRights when /u/Bohica69 claims he would assault a mentally ill woman who attacked a man (np.reddit.com)

> Because a knife beats fists if both people are the same. However, I am a lot larger than pretty much all women, a lot stronger, a lot faster, and a lot smarter. So I feel pretty confident I could easily kill any female, even if she is armed with a knife.
Egalitarianism at its finest. I love how the /r/mensrights defenders have a laundry list of legitimate complaints about the treatment of men, but the subreddit itself just constantly hates on women.
That post has been downvoted, and the author is not a regular /r/mensrights poster. It is disingenuous of you to claim it is representative of /r/mensrights. Nice try, though.
+63 on a post saying women should be compelled by law to have sex with men they "friendzoned"

That post is now in the negative hundreds.
Edit: it's at -739: http://np.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/1eg0zi/trainasocietyofmenthattheonlyacceptable/c9zviuu
It might be the most downvoted post in history on /r/mensrights, so I wouldn't use this as a representative of the subreddit either.
Yeah it's almost as if that post was brigaded by downvoters/SRS/SRD/worstof/etc. after being upvoted by the insane MRA community
it was actually posted on some prominent blogger's Tumblr and garnered thousands of notes. you'll notice most of the people that replied created their accounts around the same time that dude made his post, so i think it's safe to say Tumblr is mostly responsible for this one
Or vice versa.
Who has a vested interest in making /r/MR look bad?
AMR brigades, horrible comments from random people with no history get upvoted massively. Screen cap and post!
Hours later after actual MR members have seen it the comment is in the negatives and torn to shreds. But the AMR types will only refer to that screen cap. Of all the upvotes it got shortly after being posted to AMR (too quickly for it to be a random find) but before anyone in MR actually responded.
lolwut. you're claiming SRS brigaded to upvote that comment?
No, AMR.
There is a long history of this.
Some random troll will post something in MR. It will be immediately reposted to AMR (because that random troll totally wasn't an alt for the OP trying to create controversy to be upset by).
Shortly after being posted to AMR it will see a spike in upvotes.
A while after that, after the furor in AMR has died down, it will drop in to the negatives as regular MR members take notice and downvote the craziness.
Yeah Occam's razor dictates that we should assume a complicated conspiracy by another subreddit rather than assume posts in /r/mensrights are upvoted by mens rights users.
You and I have very different definitions for "complicated" and "conspiracy".
Your notion involves MRAs creating new alts (who have not commented in the sub before) to make statements that run contrary to what that sub is about (hence the ultimate low scores after AMR has moved on and being torn to shreds by regulars) in order to make themselves look bad in order to . . . I'm not even sure where your hypothetical conspiracy would go after that.
My insanely complicated conspiracy theory has SRS/AMR types creating alts (which they're known to do) to make insane comments to make a sub they openly despise look bad so they can brigade (which, again they are known to do).
What part of that "complicated" conspiracy blew your mind?
So vote brigades are real when it's convenient for you huh. The level of hypocrisy from both sides of this shitfest is incredible, but the really saddening part is how reddit truly feels better than the rest of the internet when SJW circles in reddit are filled with nothing more than incredibly hateful and toxic people.
You know, there are a lot of problems with the MRA community. I'm leery of anybody who is super adamant in condemning it though, because a lot of them turn out to be like you.
That type of post usually doesn't get upvoted in /r/mensrights. For all I know, the screenshot was altered by an SRSer.
> For all I know, the screenshot was altered by an SRSer.
/u/SRScreenshot posts screenshot of every submission. Do you really think no-one would notice if it was doctoring numbers?
edit: way to prove you're not a downvote brigade, MRAs.
I'm not going to trust SRS, the people who have, more than once, accused me of supporting rape, simply for pointing out that women are a significant percentage of rapists if you properly define rape to include being "made to penetrate".
Wouldn't it be really fucking easy to check that SRScreenshot was doctoring numbers? Given how much of reddit actively hates SRS, do you really think no-one would have noticed?
And stop changing the fucking subject. That's the second time you've tried now. It's not going to work. You can't win arguments by irrelevantly complaining about how oppressed you are. That's something only feminists do (apparently).
How am I changing the subject? You tried to slander /r/mensrights by taking a post that has been heavily downvoted and tried to present it as representative of the subreddit. I merely pointed out your dishonesty.
What is the "subject" anyway? What do you think people should be allowed to discuss on subredditdrama regarding meta social justice posts?
There sure are a lot of regular /r/MensRights posters defending and agreeing with him, though. And the original post was upvoted in the 300's which is a lot for that subreddit. It's not the only example of such a post either, there are plenty of others.
Yeah, because SRS brigaded the fuck out of it.
That's interesting because SRS claims they don't brigade.
No doubt.
How is that relevant? You think that SRS brigading that thread somehow created a tear in spacetime and forced mensrights posters to upvote that in the past?
edit: so awesome I'm instantly receiving 2 downvotes. please continue to prove just how different you are from SRS.
