Damn she can't get it through her skull that's is just a game about green aliens going to space also said aliens are genderless.
With male names, all you'd have to do is chuck in a few female name variations and it'd solve the problem.
It's not a big deal at all. Even if they did have genders, why is it so weird to think that their society would be more male oriented, just like ours is?
Because it's a video game and our society being male-orientated is not a good thing and shouldn't be promoted, both genders should be equal.
Also I assume you have no problem with it because you're a man...
What purpose does your assumption serve?
To 'prove' your opinions as wrong without actually having to.
To highlight why you don't think it's a problem.
I never said I didn't think it was a problem.
You stated it wasn't a big deal, kind of implies it's not a problem and that you don't really care about it.
You know I'm not PieceOfPie_SK, right?
We could be, you never know.
Oh nm then, this whole convo isn't relevant.
I wholeheartedly agree, however, I don't really understand this "I want to play as my gender" thing. I didn't mind being Chell, I didn't mind being Recette in Recettear, I didn't mind being Samus. I really fail to understand why can't people just try to roleplay as someone else?
The problem that women, as well as minorities such as black people face is that they don't get to play as their gender or race for such an overwhelming majority of the time. I mean think about it, how many playable black people, or other minorities are there in video games compared to white men?
While you don't have a problem with playing people of other ethnicities or the opposite gender (and that's great!), many video-game publishers think that you do, which is one of the big reasons that the grand majority of playable video-game characters are white men.
I have no problem with it because I don't even play KSP. I have no problem with it, because it's a video game. I have no problem with it, because it's one of the least important parts of the game itself. Why do you feel the need to say it's because I'm a man?
>Why do you feel the need to say it's because I'm a man?
Because that'd explain why you wouldn't have a problem with not having female names in a video game, it doesn't affect you and you don't seem to think why it might affect others.
It doesn't affect me because it's a fucking game. Why can't you understand that I don't care about the gender association of the names of the characters in a game.
The point is they're saying the aliens are genderless, yet they have masculine names. The aliens aren't genderless, they're male.
Because you're a guy and you already have your gender in every single game...
Cry some more about the gender of a gender neutral alien character in a game about rocket ships.
Lulz gender neutral with a male name, I just don't think you're getting it.
