Don't think of it as "got a $75k raise for sleeping with the boss", but "got a job for sleeping with the boss". The latter sounds much more plausible than the former. I can look through the papers any given week and find jobs that pay hundreds of thousands more than I earn.
The funniest part is she went to her boss to stop sexual harassment by her coworkers, and then slept with him when he sexually harassed her (as a bartering tool to end the sexual harassment). Yeah, I totally believe a woman did that.

There is always a chance he will find out unintentionally, and the breach of trust from a) cheating on him and then the condescension of b) lying to him about it to "protect him" would be way worse than being cheated on and then having them own up to it. This is probably fake and all, but this is one of the few circumstances in which I'd tell somebody to be quiet about cheating. A one-time thing for a great benefit without any feelings involved is probably the most forgivable circumstance of cheating. It feels more like a business transaction than actual cheating. I can see why others would feel differently, though.
I think the opposite. "Just sex" cheating is worse in my opinion. If its about "just sex" to get whatever benefit, then the cheater could do it with presumably anyone. Someone the cheater has feelings for? It shrinks the pool a bit.
Just goes to show how much variance there is in what constitutes infidelity and how severe an act may be considered. To me, the absence of feelings or attraction towards the person requesting sex makes it somewhat acceptable, or at least forgivable. Hell, if my SO was offered a raise that big in exchange for a night of sex, I'd drive him to the motel and tell him to have a good time. To me, if there are no emotions or attraction involved, there's no real intimacy, and it's more of a transaction. That said, "just sex" with attraction involved, or nothing offered in return, is only slightly less bad as emotionally intimate sex imo.
