Is this sub reddit actually anti-GG???? Who are the people on this sub friends with? They you all seem to hate Pussypassdenied, Justiceporn, Kotaukuinaction, food, tall, short, funny. It seems a little odd that the people in this sub act so high and mighty when they have there nose shoved so far up social justice ass their nostrils are too stuffed with shit to smell maybe the people with opvoted comments on other subs are just right. I mean if hell Hail Corporate is actually anti-GG then its no wonder hardly anyone goes to that shit sub Gamergate is basically about exposing media organizations journalists working hand in hand with certain game devs to get an unfair advantage in the market place, it never had anything to with neckbears or gamers, its simply a distraction being used as a proxy and these websites thought gamers would roll over and take it in the ass. hell that demographic of gamers that they shit talk never go on shit site like Kotaku or Ghamerghazi in the first place.

Zoe Quinn......... she literally slept with men so they would right good reviews about her games so it would surpass other indie games and hit the steam store quicker when its basically universally agreed that the game was indeed shit and hardly a 'video game' for steams standards. There were hundreds of other indi games more worthy than hers that should be making money and instead journalists who are suppose to have integrity gave the middle finger to every small game dev out there.

And of course if GG was about ethics in journalism, the focus would be on criticizing the journalists she slept with. Oddly, they're unnamed in /u/Starslinger's comment.
I'm starting to think that GG isn't about ethics in journalism.

Wow, up until now I was sort of sympathetic to GamerGate; Zoe Quinn and The Fine Young Capitalists was a horrible incident, and game developers and publishers essentially bribing their way to good reviews is pretty well documented. But they're right, none of the people Quinn slept with actually reviewed her game. There was no breach of ethics.
Yup, kinda where I started off with it. Quinn didn't come out smelling of roses, but the whole thing was less 'lack of ethics in video game journalism' and more 'lack of morals in one particular indie dev'.
Now... ugh. Every valid point someone makes on the pro GG side is drowned out by 'feminism will take mah games away!' crowd. No, it won't. Other media has been subject to that kind of analysis for ages, yet things that wouldn't appeal to your stereotypical 'SRS in their prime' type are still released. Honestly games being considered in that manner should be seen as a good thing, it means they're starting to be thought of as a legit art form!
Yeah I'll believe that when I see you guys going after IGN or GameSpot. Those guys have been pretty blatantly pumping up review scores for years. I'll believe that when I see you guys organizing boycotts of companies like Ubisoft for enforcing moratoriums on reviews until after release dates.
I don't see anyone going after real corruption in a movement that's supposedly about ethics. That's why I think it's just a giant hivemind of collective persecution complexes.
are you kidding me? r/gaming /games have a thread or two up nearly every week talking about how bull shit websites like IGN and metascore are. Look to the recent threads in r/pokemon r/wow r/gaming about how WoW and Pokémon Omega's scores were total horseshit with nearly everyone trashing IGN.
PCmasterace has also organized boy cotts on pre-orders and have heavily warned consumers about buying games from ubisoft. If you really think gamers on this site are pro IGN or Gamespot you are fucking blind.
I hate to tell you, but "gamergaters" make up a tiny, tiny subset of "gamers".
so why would Mike Morhaime CEO of blizzard feel it important enough to comment on it at the start of blizcon. and why do articles in kotakuinaction have thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments. It's because MOST people on reddit can see that the gamergate controversy is a big load of bullshit created by media conglomerates to cover up their own shady journalism and even people outside of the realm of games can see that its total horseshit that gamers would take this kind of bullshit from frauds and market riggers who have a vested interest in stirring up controversy for the sake of click bait, while at the same time defending themselves. They are the lowest kind of low.
