Salutations ladies and gents,

Today marks the 2-yr anniversary of my last IAmA, so I figured it might be time for another one.

I wear many hats at reddit, but my primary one is systems administration. I've dabbled in everything from community stuff to legal stuff at one time or another.

I'll be here throughout a good chunk of the afternoon. Ask away!

Here's a photo verifying nothing other than the fact that I am capable of holding a piece of paper.

Edit: Going to take a break to grab some food. I'll be wandering in and out to answer more throughout the next few days. Thanks for the questions all!

cheers,

alienth

>The problem isn't that they point out bigotry and hate speech, the problem is that they're bigoted.

Someone who's never actually seen the sub for themselves.

Well then, let's take a look.

Huh. It seems that SRSers have a real problem with guys liking yoga pants.

Also, SRS seems to think that violence against men is almost non-existent.. Of course, the Department of Justice disagrees, with their statistics showing that males are victims of violent crime on average 15% more than females in the last decade.

Ooh, and this person thinks that there needs to be a feminist equivalent of "Uncle Tom". Guess "Special snowflake" and "chill girl" weren't good enough.

Speaking of "Uncle Tom"... And before SRSers gleefully point out the -11 that comment has, everyone should remember that SRS inverts their karma through CSS modifications (because they think it's funny or something, I guess?). So that's really +11.

Of course, SRS rationalizes this behavior by calling it "satire", but since they don't let anybody else use the "it's just a joke" excuse, they don't get to use it either.

I feel like a frequent SRSsucks poster might have already made up his mind on the matter. Not to mention an avowed misogynist - for someone who's so steadfastly against bigotry, you seem to have a huge mad-on against the #INeedFeminismBecause movement, AtheismPlus, and - haha! - every link you've posted seems to be about how they behave towards straight white dudes. Sorry to say - you're a bigot, Harry. I could go on, but I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain your bigotry at a level you could understand.

You're getting the cause-and-effect backwards there, skippy.

>Not to mention an avowed misogynist

Well, that's just a straight-up lie.

>you seem to have a huge mad-on against the #INeedFeminismBecause movement

Interesting. "Not being able to take it seriously" means "mad-on" to you.

>AtheismPlus

Yeah, I don't like 'em. Got a problem with that?

>every link you've posted seems to be about how they behave towards straight white dudes

Another lie. It's about how they behave in general (see previous link).

>Sorry to say - you're a bigot

Well, since you have to lie about my beliefs in order to make it seem that way, the transitive property says that this is also a lie.

> I could go on, but I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain your bigotry at a level you could understand.

See folks? SRSers don't like having their bigotry pointed out to them. So much so that they pull a "I know you are, but what am I?" and run away.

So SRS are intellectual cowards on par with schoolchildren on top of everything else.
