A KotakuInAction moderator is removed, a thread of protest is made, IRC logs are leaked, demands are made for a mod to step down, and accusations are flung over who is the real attention whore (self.SubredditDrama)

the pastebin. tl;dr is that discord_dancing, a KiA moderator, complains about another moderator, oxymuncha aka EvilFuckingSociopath, and the users in the channel argue with him

top comment calls for discord_dancing to step down

the second top level comment saying discord_dancing should no longer be a moderator.

as of now, oxymuncha has been added back and one mod has responded

discord_dancing's perms have been removed, but top mod david-me has yet to come online and weigh in

I'll update this as things unfold

KiA? I wonder how obviously SRD will brigade this time.

hopefully it won't brigade at all :(

this is good drama regardless of if you like or dislike KiA. reddit voting is so stupidly partisan

I hope not but that may not be so since I'm being downvoted for a event that actually occurred.

Proof it occurred? I'm not sure what you're talking about. Last I heard /r/bestof brigaded that journalist AMA.

Yes bestof brigaded it also. Does that suddenly mean no SRD users brigaded?

How'd you get admin powers? Cuz you need admin powers to prove stuff like that.

Doesn't take admin powers to tell that KiA was brigaded.

It does, however, take admin powers to prove where the brigade came from.

It takes admin powers to prove that SRD didn't brigade it also.

...yeah, and? You're the one claiming SRD brigaded something, you're the one who should provide the proof.

"I'm being downvoted for a event that actually occurred."

Maybe you're being downvoted for whining and not producing any support for your own claim.

every meta sub brigades.

Does that suddenly make it ok?

No, but it is just an inevitable effect of being a meta sub. SRD does what it can to prevent it though but seeing as mods have close to no tools to prevent it, that makes it difficult. Especially when KiA mods take zero action to implement the .np css fix in their CSS to prevent brigading happening from other subs.

You realize that people would simply remove the np and continue to brigade right? The mods should take more precautions though.

Also I find it very strange for us not to be insulting each other. I usually get a few insults thrown at me by now.( but those are usually racist people calling me ignorant/stupid for not being racist)

Yeah but removing the np link is an extra step people would need to take, thus it would decrease brigading if KiA mods implemented the .np css.

The mods at SRD do what they can with their extremely limited tools to prevent brigading, hell this even includes contacting the admins.

Well we are having a polite discussion about how brigading can be prevented so I see no need for insults or whatever.
