drama queen was the dude who brought up the redneck's comment history apropos of absolutely nothing.
the only time op's posting history is relevant is to call out a lie, a disabused fact.
pointing to op's history because you can't win an argument is childish, and rampant, but excused because people can't be blamed for following social scripts they can't see. avoided, but not blamed.
but pointing to op's history in a tier one comment is bullying and a witchhunt, us vs them drama at its worst, hivemind circlejerk at its most innocuous.
that guy should be as heavily downvoted as the racist.
> bullying and a witchhunt, us vs them drama at its worst, hivemind circlejerk at its most innocuous.
what? this guy is a proud racist. he should rightly be told to fuck off at every opportunity.

Why are you being a racist right now?
i think i covered all the ground in my previous post.
this isn't an anonymous website. he doesn't get to goof around freely on the one hand and then post race hate on the other.
in an ideal world maybe every time he posted outside of shitstain racist subs people would try and educate him as to why his views are terrible. however, being blasted off the page everywhere is an acceptable compromise in my opinion.
reeks of mob justice.
they're downvotes on a website

If one or two people you meet in a day are assholes, you've had a bad day.
When everyone you meet is an asshole, it's time to consider an alternative theory...
i've been super impressed with your insight so far so this is a real shame for me
then why bait me?
are you baiting me now? i keep saying, i expect more from a meta sub.
if you've been impressed with my insight thus far, why do you not also know that i take the internet exactly as seriously as i do real life?
why do you not know that everyone should?
we're not AI. these are not bots, behind the comments. some of the things i come across on here make me weep blood.
i think about it when i can't sleep. the stupidity i've encountered, over the course of the day. the amount of trash i've had to call out, the number of ops doing their special sack of sticks impression.
how do you not also know that if i proffer an opinion, it's thought through and educated, and it will fucking upset me if people dismiss it out of hand, without giving it the consideration i feel it's due?
how can you tell me it's "just the internet" in 2014?
i'm sorry i snapped at you, but don't say stupid shit.
I think your diet has a little too much sodium
> i expect more from a meta sub.
Lol.
> i take the internet exactly as seriously as i do real life.
That's a terrible idea. 99℅ of all of it is fake.
> some of the things i come across on here make me weep blood.
>i think about it when i can't sleep. the stupidity i've encountered, over the course of the day. the amount of trash i've had to call out, the number of ops doing their special sack of sticks impression.
Look, I'm not a professional doctor or anything, but if reddit is making you this upset, you may want to take a few steps back.
>how do you not also know that if i proffer an opinion, it's thought through and educated, and it will fucking upset me if people dismiss it out of hand, without giving it the consideration i feel it's due?
I mean, if your opinion is dumb, people aren't going to care how long you spent thinking it up. Should I get furious if I make a post and people don't care about it? What if my white power post isn't gaining the traction I feel it is due? Where should I complain?
>how can you tell me it's "just the internet" in 2014?
Because it is, bro. It sounds like you're spending too much time on it. Go read a book, join a club, go outside, whatever. It sounds pike you're spending waaaaaaaay too much time thinking about reddit.
I think you're taking Reddit a little too seriously there, buddy.
i think you should too, pal.
No personal attacks in SRD. And cool down your discourse in general, please, the edgy shit is not going to fly.
i'm sorry if you're threatened by my edge, but that sounds like a you problem.
for the rest of it, yeah, i'll stop talking to them.
blah blah
articulate as ever.
You're not gonna win this one man.
Take it from me. I've taken up several hopeless causes on this sub in the face of rampant downvotes, but this kid's behavior is too inexcusable. I'd just walk away...
hahn i know. the only reason i'm still in it is because this isn't a default. subredditdrama is supposed to be making fun of the average redditor.
doesn't this mean they should be more intelligent than the average redditor?
i'm not trying to win this one; this long after the fact, i've honestly forgotten about this one. the only thing bringing me back to it is new, sincere replies.
i just want them to fucking understand my point; that op's comment history has nothing to do with op's submission, and calling it out in a tier 1 comment is fucking bullshit.
calling a racist a racist sure is a terrible thing
I'm sorry? your reply doesn't really respond to my comment. are you certain you understood my point?
hahah that's a lot of tears and words shed in defense of a racist
i was not defending the racist. you didn't understand my point.
you should downvote it.

No personal attacks.
i disagree on all three points.
OK
> but pointing to op's history in a tier one comment is bullying and a witchhunt, us vs them drama at its worst, hivemind circlejerk at its most innocuous.
What's wrong with bullying racists?
I mean, you seem to be proposing an Internet Law: everyone shall be allowed to say racist shit in some subreddits, then participate in other subreddits using the same account (because username and karma are important, but actual posting history is not somehow?) unfettered by anyone pointing out their history. What good will come from enacting this law? What bad will come from not doing that?
Also, what's wrong with having a social consensus about racism being bad, why do you call it a "hivemind circlejerk"?
FREEZE PEACHES
i do not get that reference?
A bunch of racists and general idiots cry when you delete their comments or ban them cuz 'censorship'.
They think they have to right to freeze peaches on a privately owned site. Because freedums
It's generally only used to defend rule infractions and angry hate-filled rants
i was halfway through typing "can you explain the etymology of freeze peaches though" and then thought i'd read it one more time and ok, i get it, a terk ur jerrbs shibboleth.
but no, this is not me defending an asshole's right to free speech at all here.
it's really fucking irritating that no one's seeing what's so fucking obvious to me.
i'm really starting to think i'm being trolled here. like some online... flashmob.
You post obscene shit, don't be surprised when people call you out on it. Especially when you're a racist nutjob.
>but pointing to op's history in a tier one comment is bullying and a witchhunt, us vs them drama at its worst, hivemind circlejerk at its most innocuous.
Yeah, bullshit. Irrelevant to the creepy post or whatever, but calling out someone based on their own words and opinions is not bullying at all.
Uh, no. No, this is not true at all.
how did the comment contribute to the thread?
It let other people know they were potentially arguing with a virulent racist. Which is almost always a waste of time.
if that's what they got out of it, they'll avoid my company.
that's their loss.
I may be down voted, but I completely agree with you. It ruins the post and there is no reason to do it. But what I think is worse than bringing up people's history is down voting someone just because they have a different opinion like in your case, but hey this reddit for you. If we disagree with you we will down vote everything you say wheater it good or not.

my perspective is often extremely unpopular. this does not mean my opinion isn't thought through.
Scratch all that, I misread his comment
